Eric Groth
Eric received a B.A. in Christian Education from Florida Southern College and an M.A. in Christian Counseling from Franciscan University. From 1993-97 he served as Director of Campus Ministry at Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois. From 1997-2002, he worked as Director of Evangelization Programs for
Cultivation Ministries, where he oversaw the development and implementation of evangelistic rallies, retreats, and summer discipleship camps. In July 2002,
Eric launched
Big Grin Studios, Inc., a production company that creates promotional, educational, and training videos for small businesses, churches, schools, and other not-for-profit organizations. He has been married to his wife, Becky, for 19 years and has eight children - Jacob, Benjamin, Emmanuel, Rachel, Elijah, Judah, Daniel, and Genevieve (due March 2!).

George Pfeiffer 
George graduated from the University of Iowa in 2006 with degrees in Business Marketing, Cinema, and Communications. George has also studied film and business at the University of Newcastle in New South Whales, Australia where he lived for six months in 2004. George’s versatility and wide ranging pallet of skills make him well suited in his contributions to Outside da Box and its ministry. George is driven by creativity, innovation, and results. A resident of Lisle, Illinois, George is also the founder of
Shirt & Simple, an online service website in Iowa City, Iowa.
John Donahue-Grossman
John earned a B.S. in Communications from Illinois State University. For 23 years, John has served the Kingdom in a variety of roles. Most recently, he was Director of Development for St. Francis H.S. in Wheaton, Illinois, where he was responsible for fundraising and public relations. He has been a Religion Teacher, Theology Department Chair, Parish Youth Minister and a Retreat Director. He has a Youth Ministry Certificate from Loyola University and studied theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, John has shared the Gospel through talks, parish missions and retreats. He is best known for his portrayal of a homeless man that led to his reception of the Columbian Squires Award for service to the Illinois Columbian Squires and the greater Church. He has been married to Laureen since 1987 and has 3 children.

Suzanne Metzger-Haugh
Suzanne graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in English and Human Development. She worked for a Nashville TV station and as an advertising copy writer before returning to school to complete her master’s degree in journalism from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Suzanne has traveled to Costa Rica as an English instructor to high school students and also taught ESL classes to adults once back in the States. After a few years working in corporate communications she returned to the classroom as a high school journalism teacher in Atlanta, Georgia, for five years. Since 1998 Suzanne has contributed to the
Georgia Bulletin, the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and has served as a writer on various archdiocesan projects, including promotional scripts and the development of its safe environment program. She is a member of the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals and the Catholic Press Association, from which she has received many writing awards. Suzanne currently resides in Louisville, Ky., with Gil, her husband of 17 years, three children (Carolyn, Patrick and Erin), two cats, a turtle and a fish.

Mike Vanderwyst
Mike is thrilled to join the Outside da Box team as Producer of the
Paradise project. As a Catholic producer, Mike has dedicated his professional life to serving projects that uplift, inspire, and entertain. Upon earning his B.A. in Film & Video from Columbia College Chicago in 2005, Mike began producing short films and TV programs in both secular and religious markets. He managed a video production ministry at The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry, IL, and has produced several short form projects including the award-winning sci-fi film,
3:16. He currently resides in Los Angeles where he has worked in pre-production, production, and post-production at independent film and commercial companies. His most recent employer, The CW Network, has taught him valuable skills in the world of on-air promotions.
Jordan Ferrell
Jordan Ferrell is a pre and post-production designer specializing in 3D Animation, specifically, character design and animation, logo work, environmental design, and texture artistry. He graduated valedictorian with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Media Arts & Animation from The Illinois Institute of Art Chicago in June 2006. Jordan and his wife, Crystal, live in St. Charles, Illinois with their two children.
